Editorial Standards

How Blaze Sports Intel handles data, sources, freshness, and contradictions. The floor every published surface is held to before it ships.

The eight standards

Real data only

Every visible number on a Blaze Sports Intel page must trace back to a named source. No mocks, no sample arrays, and no synthetic seeds. If the upstream source is unavailable, the page says so explicitly with a stated reason rather than rendering invented content.

Sources named

Four states handled

Freshness comes from metadata

Phrases that imply exact freshness only appear when the underlying response actually returned that timestamp. Blaze Sports Intel never hardcodes freshness language. If the source didn’t timestamp it, the surface doesn’t claim it.

Anti-fabrication

When Blaze Sports Intel doesn’t know something, the surface says so. No invented citations, no plausible-sounding fiction filling a gap, no manufactured authority. If we can’t verify a claim, we either flag it as unverified or we don’t publish it.

Contradictions surfaced

Anti-vanity

Program counts, recompute cycles, refresh intervals, and other internal-process metrics are not used as visitor-facing proof points. The work shows up as accurate data and clear methodology. Internal stats stay internal.

A derived number stays closed until its source, formula, sample limits, and reliability gates can be published. The methodology hub lists the methods that are currently available.

Editorial observation and the sourced record can run on the same page. Blaze Sports Intel labels reported fact, direct statistics, and analysis so readers can tell which layer they are reading.
